Insider story
At Sant’Ignazio di Loyola, look up and discover one of Rome’s cleverest Baroque illusions. The spectacular “dome” above you is not a real dome at all—it is a masterful perspective painting designed to make a flat ceiling appear three-dimensional.
Trajan Forum and Column
Trajan's Forum is an ancient imperial center. Trajan’s Column depicts Emperor Trajan’s victories over the Dacians in its famous detailed reliefs.
Palazzo Colonna
One of Rome’s oldest and most magnificent private palaces, Palazzo Colonna and the Colonna family have centuries of aristocratic history.
Basilica Dei Santi Apostoli
This historic basilica combines Renaissance and Baroque architecture with impressive frescoes, ornate chapels, and a peaceful atmosphere.
Trevi Fountain
Rome’s most famous fountain! We take a break near the spectacular Baroque masterpiece where you can grab a coffee, toss a coin, and make a wish.
Sant'Ignazio di Loyola Church
This Jesuit church showcases breathtaking illusionistic ceiling frescoes and an impressive fake dome.
Pantheon
Roman temple converted into a church, the Pantheon is renowned for its massive dome, oculus, and extraordinary state of preservation.
