Overview
Please note: the tour operates year-round, but tulips can only be seen from April 20 to May 15.
We will meet you at your hotel and travel to a mountain village in the Urgut region, famous for its ancient plane trees (chinars) that are over a thousand years old. Along the way, you will enjoy breathtaking landscapes of rocky mountains, spring streams, and flower fields, while learning about the region from your guide.
Tour Itinerary
08:00 – Departure from Samarkand
The journey begins from Samarkand, heading toward the beautiful Zeravshan/Pamir mountain region. On the way, guests enjoy scenic views of rocky mountains, spring streams, and ancient chinar groves.
10:00 – Scenic drive through mountain landscapes
Travel continues through breathtaking nature, including valleys, rivers, and thousand-year-old chinar trees.
Arrival in the mountain village
Guests are warmly welcomed by a local family (Mamatov family) and introduced to authentic village life.
Cultural experience & crafts introduction
Learn about traditional crafts such as carpet weaving and tobacco production, and discover daily life in the Urgut mountains
Visit to tulip fields (seasonal)
Walk through beautiful mountain tulip fields (April 20 – May 15), surrounded by natural landscapes perfect for photography.
Traditional cooking experience
Guests participate in preparing traditional kazan-kebab together with local hosts, enjoying a hands-on cultural cooking experience
Return to Samarkand
After a full day of cultural and natural exploration, the group returns to Samarkand, filled with unforgettable memories and experiences from the mountains
