Middle of the World Tour: Between Hemispheres and Culture

Our tour begins at the previously arranged meeting point, where your guide will greet you warmly and provide all the necessary instructions to help you make the most of the experience. From here we will begin the journey to San Antonio de Pichincha, gateway to one of Ecuador’s and the world’s most emblematic places.

We head to San Antonio de Pichincha, an area surrounded by history, science, and culture, known for being home to the famous equatorial line. Along the way, you will learn more about the geographic importance of this unique territory as we approach the point where the world divides into two hemispheres.

Our first major stop is the Intiñan Site Museum, an interactive space where science comes to life. Here you can take part in surprising experiments, learn about the ancestral traditions of Ecuadorian peoples, and experience unique phenomena that only occur on the equatorial line. An educational, fun, and completely unforgettable experience.

We will continue to the iconic Ciudad Mitad del Mundo, where the famous monument marking the equatorial line stands. You will have time to explore its facilities, learn about its historical and geographic importance, and take unique photos with one foot in each hemisphere of the planet.

If your option includes lunch, you will enjoy a typical meal in the heart of Ciudad Mitad del Mundo, surrounded by a unique cultural setting. After this experience, we will begin the return to Quito, taking with you unforgettable memories of having been literally at the center of the world.
