Cancellation Options

Flexible cancellation policies for your peace of mind. Review your options before booking to avoid surprises.

1. Cancellation Policy Overview

DiscoverYourTour has a simple and clear cancellation policy for all tours:

Full refund: Cancel at least 24 hours before the tour starts. No refund: Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour start are generally not refundable. Exceptions: Rare exceptions may be made, but only through our support team, the supplier, or the customer, and only after an agreement is reached.

We encourage you to review this policy before booking to avoid surprises.

2. How to Cancel a Booking

To cancel a booking:

1. Log in to your DiscoverYourTour account.

2. Go to My Bookings or Dashboard.

3. Select the booking you wish to cancel.

4. Click Cancel Booking and confirm.

You will receive an email confirmation. Refunds, if applicable, follow the cancellation policy.

3. Refund Timing

Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days. The refund will be credited to the original payment method. Bank or card processing times may add additional days.

For certain payment methods, alternative refund options may be offered. Contact support for questions.

4. Cancellations by Guides

If a guide cancels your booking:

You receive a full refund. We notify you promptly and can help you find alternative experiences.

Repeated cancellations by guides may result in penalties on their account.

5. Date & Time Modifications

You may request to change the date or time of your booking, depending on guide availability. Some tours may charge a modification fee. Non-refundable bookings may not support date changes.

Contact the guide via the messaging system or support for requests.

6. Weather & Extenuating Circumstances

Guides may reschedule or refund tours if weather or safety conditions make the tour unsafe. Natural disasters, government restrictions, or other emergencies may trigger special refund policies.

Contact support if your situation qualifies for an exception.

7. Additional Points

Payment Methods / Prepaid Tours:

  • Tours paid partially or fully in advance follow the same 24-hour cancellation policy.
  • Non-Refundable Fees / Add-ons: Optional add-ons, private guides, or special experiences may have separate refund rules; check the tour page.

Platform vs Guide Responsibility:

  • DiscoverYourTour processes cancellations and refunds, while guides manage availability and scheduling.

International / Currency Considerations: Refund amounts may vary slightly due to exchange rates or bank fees. Legal / Terms Reminder: All cancellations and refunds are subject to our Terms of Service.
